BASE CABINETS

Base cabinets are the lower cabinets that provide the foundation and storage in a kitchen. They are typically installed beneath the countertop and are designed to support the work surface while offering storage space for kitchen utensils, cookware, and other essential items.

Base cabinets are constructed using sturdy materials to withstand the weight of countertop materials and provide structural support. The width typically ranges from 15 to 120 cm, with standard increments of 15 cm. The depth is typically 60 cm to accommodate standard countertops.

DRAWERS AND HARDWARE

Base cabinets commonly include drawers, which offer convenient storage and easy access to items. Drawers may feature different types of hardware, such as soft-close mechanisms to ensure smooth  and quiet operation. Additionally, the choice of drawer organizers or dividers can help maximize storage efficiency.

STYLE

Base cabinets are available in a variety of finishes, colors, and styles to match the overall kitchen design. Options range from neutral wood finishes to laminated surfaces. The choice of cabinet hardware such as handles or knobs has been eliminated due to a sleek and new engineering of Gola profiles which further enhances the aesthetic appeal.

TOE KICK

Base cabinets typically have a recessed area at the bottom called a toe kick. This space allows for comfortable foot placement when standing at the counter and contributes to the overall ergonomic design of the kitchen. The standard height for a toe kick is 9 to 10 cm.
